Education of Girls is highly significant in the development of any nation. It not only realizes the potential of around half of our population but also bring quality changes in the education of future generations. In Sindh, the gender gap in education attainment is quite high and Government of Sindh is committed to reduce this gap and encourage girls to complete education. A scholarship of Rs. 1,000 per year is provided to girls studying in class VI to class X. In the year 2005-06, Reform Support Unit (RSU) after its establishment captured the names of all the girl students studying in Government Schools and started distributing these scholarships through money orders. The decision was taken to ensure the timely and full delivery of scholarship to girls.
